FAQ

FAQ’s

Wondering the process of buying a horse from Quality Equines? We invite you to read through our FAQ, which we hope will help you feel comfortable in your process and fill in any gaps we might have missed. As always, if you have more questions, please contact Angela.

SOUNDNESS

Quality Equines sell quality horses, and we are transparent about any soundness issues, needs for injections or special shoeing, and beyond. All of our horses are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with ALL existing conditions and defects. There are no guarantees, express or implied, on any horses. We always encourage potential buyers to perform a PPE before purchase. Quality Horses is happy to share any recent exams, radiographs, and veterinary statements for our horses if we have them, however, we recommend potential buyers purchase new radiographs, if they are concerned about a certain area, for comparison. We do not require you to use our vet and can offer recommendations of area vets if you are unfamiliar.

HORSE TRIALS

We encourage potential buyers to come try any horse they are interested in via appointment. We try to represent our horses the best we can through videos, photos, and by answering any questions, but we believe the best matches are made when you can confidently try the horse in person. Due to our schedule, some sale horses do travel to out-of-state fox hunts and competitions and can be tried at those times when scheduled with Angela. Normal, off-property trials are rare and done at the discretion of the horse’s consigner. If both parties agree to an off-property trial, the potential seller must leave a deposit and all parties must sign a contract. As a general rule, we do not recommend off-property trials to our consigners.

SALE PAPERS

All horses sold through Quality Equines come with the following sale papers: a Bill of Sale, Current Coggins, and Registration (if applicable). Health Certificates, Brand Inspections, and any other paperwork required for moving the horse across state lines is to be purchased at the buyers expense. The Bill of Sale must be signed by both parties before a horse can leave the property.

SHIPPING

Quality Equines has trailers going across the United States often, and we work with a network of professional horse shippers that go in any direction. If you need help finding a shipper, we are happy to help you find a ride for your new partner.

PAYMENT METHODS

Our current accepted payment methods are cash, wire transfer, or check.
