9am: FORMAL CLOSING MEET from the kennels.

THE RED ROCK HOUNDS HUNTER TRIALS AND CLOSING MEET April 8 - 10, 2022
We invite you to compete in the second annual Red Rock Hound Hunter Trials, join us for our Formal Hunt Ball, and ride in our Closing Meet. We hope that the entire weekend will be a sensational and fun experience for you and that you will enjoy the pastoral Red Rock Valley and raw beauty of the Petersen Mountains. We have a full weekend filled with exciting activities scheduled for you. For non-riders, there is skiing, golf, and activities downtown. During the Hunter Trials, we will be presenting you with a number of different classes to suit all levels of riders while evoking the naturalness of riding cross country terrain and jumping obstacles during a “gone away”.
All activities will occur at Ross Creek Ranch, except the Hunt Ball, so your driving will be minimized!
We begin on Friday morning with a hunt from the Journey’s End fixture, followed by the course walks starting at 1 PM, including margaritas and light snacks.
Friday night, join us at our Formal Hunt Ball for an evening of great company, delicious food, and enticing spirits. Book a room at the hotel that night so you can really enjoy yourself.
Saturday, the registration desk opens at 10:00 AM. The first class starts at 12 NOON and classes continue throughout the day. The festivities start Saturday late afternoon with a happy hour, appetizers, Calcutta Bidding and award ceremonies and a special Tri-Tip dinner. Please bring your beverage of choice.
We wind up the weekend on Sunday with our Closing Meet and traditional Hunt Breakfast.
